travel tips Our cottages are perfect for touring throughout Brittany and it is easy to travel around the region’s four departments. A car is essential to reach the hamlet but there are bus services from Rostrenen to surrounding town and villages. There are low-cost flights with Ryanair to Dinard or Nantes and by Flybe to Brest or Rennes. The airports at Dinard and Brest are both 1½ hours’ drive. The nearest ferry ports are Roscoff (1½ hours’ drive) and St Malo (2 hours’ drive). The port of Calais is 6½ hours’ drive. The TGV from Paris stops at St. Brieuc. We had a lovely day exploring the local market and going around the abbey, as well as walks along the canals and lakes, and even a spot of horse riding at Glomel! We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area on foot & bike (the bikes were fine - thank you!) & had a few further afield trips too.
